UC-TIB kits are ready-to-use PCR kits for the Roche cobas® omni utility channel on cobas® 5800, 6800, and 8800 Systems. The kits provide primer and probe sets for pre-defined panels targeting pathogens or selected genetic markers in automated, high throughput PCR workflows.
Each UC-TIB kit includes a positive control and contains 192 reactions. Across the UC-TIB portfolio, more than 40 kits are available, together covering 90+ pathogen and genetic marker targets.
UC-TIB (CE-IVD) for in-vitro diagnostics
UC-TIB kits (CE-IVD) are designed for routine molecular diagnostics. They support laboratories with ready-to-use real-time PCR assays for clinically relevant panels, combining rapid PCR setup with scalable testing workflows.

UC-TIB (RUO) for research use

About the Roche cobas® omni utility channel
The cobas® omni utility channel is the open-channel feature of Roche cobas® 5800, 6800, and 8800 Systems.
It enables the use of research assays, and laboratory-developed tests (LDTs) on the cobas® systems. This format allows laboratories to expand automated PCR testing workflows on Roche cobas® systems without requiring separate instruments.
